Delegation from Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute to visit Sri Lanka

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the State of Israel Nimal Bandara had a fruitful discussion with Chairman of the Board of Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute Avi Balashnikov to discuss regarding the exchange of trade delegations between Israel and Sri Lanka.

During the meeting, the Chairman expressed his willingness to receive a Sri Lankan delegation in the sectors of Gem & Jewellery, Apparel, Cinnamon, Agriculture to explore the trade opportunities available in the Israel market.

While thanking the Chairman, Ambassador Bandara suggested that Sri Lanka is willing to receive a high-level trade delegation in the same sectors from Israel with a view to identifying Sri Lankan products and services which are suitable to the Israel market.

In response, the Chairman agreed to visit himself with a delegation in the near future to meet key stakeholders in Sri Lanka such as Export Development Board, Gem & Jewellery Authority, Colombo Port City, Board of Investment, and Tourism Promotion Bureau.

Deputy Head of Mission of the Sri Lanka Embassy in Tel Aviv E.R.M.S.H. Ekanayake also participated in the meeting.
