The Consulate General of Sri Lanka organized a Christmas Blessings via Zoom in Frankfurt am Main on 21 December 2020.
Father Christian Enke of the St. Leonhard’s Church in Frankfurt am Main conveyed his blessings and prayers through a video message to the Sri Lankan community in Germany. The video message was followed by playing of classical Christmas hymns by the church organist of the Holy Cross Church in Frankfurt am Main.
The Christmas Blessings at the Consulate General was followed by Christmas Prayer Intentions read by the Staff of the Consulate General. The intentions included blessings to the President, the Prime Minister, the Government and the people of Sri Lanka and also to those who are affected by the Pandemic.
The Christmas Blessings ended with the singing of Christmas carols. Thereafter the Consul General Madurika Joseph Weninger wished those who participated by sending gift packs containing an assortment of Ceylon Tea rich in antioxidants along with special packs of Ayurvedic herbs personally prepared by the Staff of the Consulate General designed to enhance the immune system.
