General Rashad Mahmood, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, called on Professor G.L. Peiris, Minister of External Affairs, recently. Prof. Peiris referred to the excellent bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Pakistan in all sectors, and expressed appreciation of the strong support extended by Pakistan to Sri Lanka at the Human Rights Council. The discussion covered all aspects of relations between the two countries, with special reference to defence co-operation.
