Sounds and Flavours of Sri Lanka (‘Musiche & Sapori di Sri Lanka’)

The Sri Lanka gastronomic festival in Rome opened to packed crowds at the Westin Excelsior, Rome on Thursday(2nd December). In the picture, Sri Lanka’s Ambassador in Rome, Mr. Hemantha Warnakulasuriya lighting the traditional oil lamp at the inauguration. The festival presented by the Embassy of Sri Lanka, Rome, The Westin Excelsior Rome and SriLanka Tourism features Sri Lankan cuisine, dance and avurveda spa treatment at the prestigious Westin Excelsior Hotel’s famous Doney Restaurant. Sri Lankan cuisine is presented for Lunch and Dinner from Amaya Resorts, light cultural entrainment by the Channa-Upuli Dance Ensemble & SriLankan Airlines and High Tea presented by Mlesna Tea, Sri Lanka. The gastronomic week continues at the Westin Excelsior on Via Vittorio Veneto through 12 December 2010.
