Sri Lanka Shines at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2013 in Dubai

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau in coordination with the Sri Lanka Consulate General in Dubai organized a Country Pavilion at the ATM 2013 in Dubai housing 56 Sri Lankan travel and tour operators.

The 20th edition of the ATM declared opened on Monday, 6th May 2013 by Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, on a high note at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, focusing on the future of the tourism and hospitality industry in the region.

Minister of Indigenous Medicine visits Charite Medical University

Initiated by the  Embassy of Sri Lanka in Germany, a delegation from Sri Lanka headed by Hon. Salinda Dissanayake, Minister of Indigenous Medicine, arrived in Germany and held expert level discussion with the high authorities of the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Research Department (CAM) of the Charite Medical University. Professor Andreas Michalsen, Dr. Christian Kessler and Mr. Elmar Stapelfeldt M.A. represented the University on 30th April 2013.

Vesak Festival in Dubai

Members of Sri Lankan Community and the Cultural Center attached to the Sri Lankan Consulate General under auspicious of the Sri Lanka Mission in Dubai organized a grand Vesak Festival celebration and Perahera on 10th May 2013 at Latifa Hospital Ground in Dubai. Students of Sri Lanka Daham Pasal in Dubai presented various musical, dance and cultural performances at the event.
