The Brazilian government has learned with dismay of another attack on the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) on January 25 in the Mopti region in the center of the country. The attack killed two Sri Lankan "blue helmets" and left several injured.
The Brazilian Government reiterates its firm rejection of every act of terrorism, regardless of its motivation, expresses its condolences to the families of the victims and to the governments of Mali and Sri Lanka and reiterates its support for the work of MINUSMA and the efforts of the international community in favor of stabilization in Mali.
