The Heads of Asian Diplomatic the Missions in Pretoria, South Africa met Sri Lanka High Commissioner, Kumar Mallimaratchi today and extended their condemnation of brutal terrorist attacks that killed 359 people and injured 500 people in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.
They extended their Government’s heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the Government and people of Sri Lanka, particularly to the bereaved families of the victims.
Dean of the Asian Group, Ambassador to Kazakhstan in Pretoria H.E. Talgat Kaliyev and 17 Ambassadors/High Commissioners of Asia from Singapore, Philippines, Bangladesh, Iran, Vietnam, New Zealand, Turkey, Republic of Korea, Myanmar, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, China, Japan, Nepal, Thailand and Australia attended.
Further, following the National Day of Mourning, the High Commission opened a Condolence book and a large number of Diplomats visited the Chancery in Pretoria to express their condolences on behalf of their respective Governments.
