The Embassy of Sri Lanka under the guidance of His Excellency, Mr. S. J. Mohideen, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the UAE, in collaboration with Sri Lanka Cultural Foundation and several other Sri Lankan community associations based in Abu Dhabi, celebrated the Annual Ifthar Ceremony at the Embassy premises on 16.06.2017.
The event was attended by over 250 participants representing all religious communities in Sri Lanka, and signifying the religious unity of Sri Lankan living in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Maulavi who made a presentation at the gathering highlighted the importance of the social harmony and the unity among all Sri Lankans irrespective of religion, ethnicity and other differences for the betterment of the country to move forward.
