On an invitation extended by the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Iran G.M.V. Wishwanath Aponsu participated in the 08th International Exhibition on Pharmaceuticals and Related Industries “IRANPHARMA EXPO 2023” held at the Imam Khomeini Grand Campus (Mosala) in Tehran from 27-29 September 2023. More than 427 Iranian companies and 282 foreign exhibitors from 33 countries showcased their products and services in the international exhibition.
The IRANPHARMA EXPO is an annual event in the pharmaceutical industries that hosts manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical equipment and machinery, recombinant drugs, herbal medicine, food and dietary supplements, knowledge-based companies, pharmaceutical distributors, scientific and pharmaceutical research facilities, associations and health-oriented publications. The exhibition is a key business gathering in Iran and West Asia with prominent pharmaceutical related companies and facilitates for creating a new platform for potential business partnerships.
During the inauguration of the above exhibition, Ambassador Aponsu met the Minister of Health and Medical Education of Iran Dr. Bahram Einollahi and congratulated him for organizing the IRANPHARMA EXPO 2023 in a successful manner. He conveyed Sri Lanka’s interest in establishing effective long term cooperation with Iran in the fields of health, medical education and pharmaceutical industry. Accepting the Ambassador’s proposal, the minister underscored the need of further discussions on the proposal between the concerned authorities of Sri Lanka and Iran.
The Sri Lankan envoy also attended the business discussion of the exhibition, chaired by the Head of the Iran Pharmaceutical Export Association Dr. Sayed Ali Maboudi and briefed on the opportunities available in the Sri Lankan market including investments in medical education sector and pharmaceutical industry. Business representatives of pharmaceutical companies spoke on their company profiles and expressed their interest to hold initial level meetings with Sri Lankan counterparts.
Highlighting the present developments in Sri Lanka, the ambassador assured to create a platform with a view to exploring joint cooperation and enhance bilateral trade and investment exchanges in pharmaceutical sector. Iranian-made pharmaceuticals are currently exported to 40 countries across the world.
Dr. Sayed Ali Maboudi expressed his appreciation for the ambassador’s participation in the exhibition and pledged his support for establishing new partnerships between Sri Lanka and Iran particularly in the pharmaceutical industry for the benefit of the two countries. Several Ambassadors and representatives based in Tehran including India, Philippines, Nicaragua, Bolivia and Zimbabwe attended the IRANPHARMA EXPO 2023.

ඉරාන ඉස්ලාමීය ජනරජයේ ආරාධනයකට අනුව ඉරානයේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා තානාපති ජී.එම්.වී. විශ්වනාත් අපෝන්සු 2023 සැප්තැම්බර් 27-29 දක්වා ටෙහෙරානයේ Imam Khomeini Grand Campus (Mosala) හි පැවති "IRANPHARMA EXPO 2023" නම් වූ ඖෂධ සහ ආශ්‍රිත කර්මාන්ත පිළිබඳ 08 වැනි ජාත්‍යන්තර ප්‍රදර්ශනයට සහභාගී විය. ඉරාන සමාගම් 427 කට වැඩි ප්‍රමාණයක් සහ රටවල් 33 කින් විදේශීය ප්‍රදර්ශකයෝ 282 ක් ජාත්‍යන්තර ප්‍රදර්ශනයේ දී සිය නිෂ්පාදන සහ සේවා ප්‍රදර්ශනය කළහ.
IRANPHARMA EXPO යනු ඖෂධ, ඖෂධ උපකරණ සහ යන්ත්‍රෝපකරණ, ප්‍රතිසංයෝජක ඖෂධ, ශාකසාර ඖෂධ, ආහාර සහ ආහාර අතිරේක, දැනුම පදනම් කරගත් සමාගම්, ඖෂධ බෙදාහරින්නන්, විද්‍යාත්මක සහ ඖෂධ පර්යේෂණ පහසුකම්, සංගම් සහ ඖෂධ සම්බන්ධ ප්‍රකාශන යන සෞඛ්‍ය නිෂ්පාදකයින් සඳහා සත්කාරකත්වය සපයන කර්මාන්තවල වාර්ෂික උත්සවයකි. ප්‍රදර්ශනය ඉරානයේ සහ බටහිර ආසියාවේ ප්‍රමුඛ පෙළේ ඖෂධ ආශ්‍රිත සමාගම් සමඟ පවත්වන ප්‍රධාන ව්‍යාපාරික රැස්වීමක් වන අතර එය ව්‍යාපාරික හවුල්කාරිත්වයන් සඳහා නව වේදිකාවක් නිර්මාණය කිරීමට පහසුකම් සපයයි.
ඉහත ප්‍රදර්ශනයේ සමාරම්භක අවස්ථාවේ දී තානාපති අපෝන්සු මහතා ඉරානයේ සෞඛ්‍ය හා වෛද්‍ය අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍ය වෛද්‍ය බහ්‍රම් ඉනොල්ලාහි මහතා හමුවී IRANPHARMA EXPO 2023 සාර්ථක ලෙස සංවිධානය කිරීම පිළිබඳව ඔහුට සුබපැතුම් එක් කළේය. සෞඛ්‍ය, වෛද්‍ය අධ්‍යාපනය සහ ඖෂධ කර්මාන්තය යන ක්ෂේත්‍රවල ඉරානය සමඟ ඵලදායී දිගුකාලීන සහයෝගීතාවයක් ඇති කර ගැනීම සඳහා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ උනන්දුව පිළිබඳවද ඔහු ප්‍රකාශ කළේය. තානාපතිවරයාගේ යෝජනාව පිළිගනිමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ සහ ඉරානයේ අදාළ බලධාරීන් අතර යෝජනාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් තවදුරටත් සාකච්ඡා කිරීමේ අවශ්‍යතාවය අවධාරණය කළේය.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ වත්මන් වර්ධනයන් ඉස්මතු කරමින්, ඖෂධ ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ ද්විපාර්ශ්වික වෙළෙඳ සහ ආයෝජන හුවමාරුව වැඩිදියුණු කිරීම සහ ඒකාබද්ධ සහයෝගීතාව ගවේෂණය කිරීමේ අරමුණින් ඒ සඳහා අවස්ථාවක් නිර්මාණය කිරීමට තානාපතිවරයා සහතික විය. ඉරානයේ නිෂ්පාදිත ඖෂධ දැනට ලොව පුරා රටවල් 40කට අපනයනය කෙරේ.

ஈரான் மருந்து ஏற்றுமதி சங்கத்தின் தலைவர் கலாநிதி சையத் அலி மபூதி தலைமையில் நடைபெற்ற இக்கண்காட்சியின் வர்த்தக கலந்துரையாடலில் இலங்கைத் தூதுவர் கலந்து கொண்டதுடன் மருத்துவக் கல்வித் துறை மற்றும் மருந்துத் துறையில் முதலீடுகள் உட்பட இலங்கை சந்தையில் உள்ள வாய்ப்புகள் குறித்து விளக்கினார். மருந்து நிறுவனங்களின் வணிகப் பிரதிநிதிகள் தங்கள் நிறுவனத்தின் விவரங்கள் குறித்து கருத்து தெரிவித்ததுடன், இலங்கை சகாக்களுடன் ஆரம்பகட்ட சந்திப்புகளை மேற்கொள்வதற்கான தங்கள் விருப்பத்தை தெரிவித்தனர்.
இலங்கையின் தற்போதைய அபிவிருத்திகளை எடுத்துரைத்த தூதுவர், கூட்டுறவை ஆராய்வதற்கும் மருந்துத் துறையில் இருதரப்பு வர்த்தகம் மற்றும் முதலீட்டுப் பரிமாற்றங்களை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கும் ஒரு தளத்தை உருவாக்குவதாக உறுதியளித்தார். ஈரானில் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட மருந்துகள் தற்போது உலகம் முழுவதும் 40 நாடுகளுக்கு ஏற்றுமதி செய்யப்படுகின்றன.
