On April 16, 2019 Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation paid a courtesy call on his Singaporean counterpart H.E. Ms Lim Kheng Hua, a veteran diplomat, who served as Singapore Ambassador to Philippines and Director for International Organizations, MFA before she assumed her duties as the Head of Diplomatic Mission in Moscow in 2012. H.E. Ms. Lim was awarded the Silver Public Administration Medal and the Long Service Medal.
The Ambassadors had a lengthy discussion on the transformation of Singapore as well as on Singapore’s view of global dynamics today and ASEAN perspectives of the Indo-Pacific concept.
Ambassador Lim gifted Ambassador Jayatilleka three books: on Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, and by leading Singaporean thinkers on international relations.
