On 12 November 2019 SPA Ceylon Luxury Ayurveda boutique was opened in one of the large shopping malls in Moscow. The history of the brand cosmetics goes back to 1961 when the first face care cream was produced by the young Sri Lankan Janet Balasuriya. In 2013 the first international store was opened in Istanbul and now the SPA Ceylon products are represented in 75 branded stores around the world including in Russia. Since the creation of the first product to this day, all the ingredients are grown on the island of Ceylon.
Ambassador Jayatilleka participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony to declare the Spa Ceylon shop open. The official part was followed by refreshments and informal discussions of the plans and the new ways to promote Spa Ceylon cosmetics. The guests of the occasion were presented with complementary Ayurveda products.
Apart from the newly opened store in Moscow, Spa Ceylon boutiques are located in other Russian cities including Sochi and Voronezh.
