Ambassador-designate of Sri Lanka to United Arab Emirates assumes duties

The Ambassador-designate of Sri Lanka to the United Arab Emirates, Majintha Jayesinghe assumed duties at the Mission on 11 September 2019.

The Ambassador-designate lit the traditional oil lamp and observed Religious rituals held at the Embassy where the staff and the Sri Lankan community also participated.

Addressing the Staff, Ambassador-designate, Majintha Jayesinghe recalled the close ties that exist between the two countries and emphasized the need to strengthen Sri Lanka’s presence by promoting trade, investment, tourism, labour and cultural ties with the United Arab Emirates.
