Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Indonesia Admiral Professor Jayanath Colombage paid a courtesy call on the Governor of National Resilience Institute of Republic of Indonesia Dr Andi Widjajanto (LEMHANNAS) on 06 July 2023.
The Governor of LEMHANNAS and the Ambassador had a cordial discussion on current geopolitics and regional security concerns. The Ambassador elaborated on how Sri Lanka successfully dealt with defeating terrorism and the tactics and strategies used by Sri Lankan Armed Forces. The Ambassador also briefed the Governor about the current economic situation in Sri Lanka and the steps being taken to improve the country's financial outlook. The Governor and the staff were keen to know about the asymmetric warfare experience of Sri Lankan military.
The Ambassador extended his sincere appreciation to LEMHANNAS for providing training opportunities for senior military officers of Sri Lanka to follow the professional military education at strategic level.
