The 3rd Cultural Exhibition of the Countries along the Belt and Road was held from 25 to 28 October 2018 in Beijing with the participation of 40 diplomatic missions, including the Embassy of Sri Lanka. The event, organized by the Beijing Foreign Cultural Exchanges Center, was hosted by the Beijing Municipality.
The event provided the participants and the general public with an opportunity for cultural and tourism interaction.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka showcased Sri Lanka’s tourist attractions, Ceylon tea and cultural heritage in its booth by screening promotional video clips, displaying posters and distributing brochures on Sri Lanka tourism among the Chinese and other foreign visitors. A Sri Lanka Cultural and Tourism promotional presentation and a traditional Costume Show featuring the “Kandyan Sari” were also held on the sidelines of the Exhibition.
