The Hoeplie Publishers, Italy in partnership with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Milan welcomed the launch of the book titled “IL PONTE DI ADAMO “(The Bridge of Adam) by renowned Italian journalist Luca Novelli, at the House of Manzoni. The editor, Hoepli is the largest publisher in Italy while the house of Manzoni is the birthplace of the famous Italian writer Alessandro Manzoni.
The book, an adventure to discover the origins of the earthly Paradise, is the product of Mr. Novelli’s fascinated journey to Sri Lanka in 2014 in which he had extensively researched the centuries old religious places like "Sri Pada". "Discovering the Spirit of Buddhism in the Land of Elephants," as Luca Novelli describes his book, is a comprehensive detailed coverage of the sacred places and events from its history to the full conduct at present.
Speaking at the occasion Consul General of Sri Lanka in Milan Pradeepa Saram thanked Mr. Novelli for his contribution to promote Sri Lanka’s culture and said that the book would become a catalyst to promote Sri Lanka’s tourism.
The venue was packed with book enthusiasts, artists, photographers, scholars and journalists.
