Indian Coast Guard Ships and Aircrafts deployed to locate missing Sri Lankan fisherman

Sri Lankan fishing vessel “Proboda Putha” toppled in the deep sea approx 470 NM West of Chennai and 290 NM East of Port Blair (Anandaman and Nicobar island) on 10 th November 2012.  A Sri Lankan fishing vessel in the vicinity rescued three crew members but one fisherman has not been found.

Upon being informed of the distress of the Sri Lankan fishing vessel and its crew, the Indian Coast Guard stationed in Port Blair had deployed ships and aircrafts to locate the missing Sri Lankan fisherman and the search and rescue mission is still continuing.
