The Third Session of the Joint Commission between Maldives and Sri Lanka will be held from 08th to 09th February 2017 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maldives.
The Third Session of the Joint Commission between Maldives and Sri Lanka will be held from 08th to 09th February 2017 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maldives.
Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka will lead the Sri Lanka delegation to the Joint Commission while Hon. Dr. Mohamed Asim, Minister of Foreign Affairs will lead the Maldivian delegation. Minister Samaraweera will meet the Maldivian President His Excellency Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom during the visit.
The Senior Official’s Meeting will precede the Ministerial level discussions.
The Joint Commission will discuss matters related to economic cooperation, tourism, fisheries, education, health, youth & sports skills development, employment and cultural affairs.
The previous Joint Commission was held in Colombo in the year 2014.
