An eight-member team of boys and girls from Montfort School of New Delhi will be visiting Richmond College, Galle from 16-25 February 2013 under the aegis of the Student Exchange Programme of the India-Sri Lanka Foundation. The student team is accompanied by the Principal of the School Brother K. Monachan along with the School Counselor Mrs. Renu Singla and Arts teacher Mr. Abdul Qayyum.

His Excellency Dr. Palitha Kohona, the Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations, signed the Joint Communique on behalf of Sri Lanka, while H.E. Mr. CamilloGonsalves, the Permanent Representative of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Nations, signed on behalf of Saint Vincent and Grenadines.

The 19th edition of the International Film Festival of Asian Cinema (FICA) ended a few days ago in Vesoul, France with a Jury presided by Indonesian film director Garin Nugroho awarding renowned Sri Lankan film director Prasanna Vithanage with the Cylco D’Or for his 7th and most recent film “ With You, without you” ( Oba Nethuwa Oba Ekka)
