A 14-member team from Sri Lanka Lawn Bowls Association visited the Philippines to participate in the 16th Asian Lawn Bowls Championship & 14th Asian Under-25 Lawn Bowls Championship, held at the Clark Bowling Green, Clark City, Philippines, from 27 April to 04 May 2025.
On 01 May 2025, Ambassador Chanaka Talpahewa visited the Tournament venue to meet the Sri Lankan contingent and officials of the International, Asian and Philippine Lawn Bowls Associations.
The Ambassador was welcomed by President of World of Bowls Brett O’Reily, Vice President of the Philippine Lawn Bowl Association Steven Wee, Secretary General of the Asian Lawn Bowls Federation Sayid Zainal Abidin Bin Syed Zin, Regional Director (Asia) of World Bowls Claudius Lamby, President of the Sri Lanka Lawn Bowls Association Gamini T. Jayasuriya and members of the Sri Lankan team. The Ambassadors also had discussions with the officials and watched a number of matches.
