The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Stockholm successfully conducted a consular mobile service in Oslo, Norway on 25 April 2026 providing convenient access to essential consular support for Sri Lankans living in Norway. The staff of the Embassy assisted over hundred individuals during the day to obtain services including on submission of dual citizenship applications, passport renewals, birth registrations and attestations.
The participants appreciated the mobile service considering the convenience it provided for those residing in Norway. The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Stockholm looks after the interests of Sri Lankans across the Nordic and Baltic region including in Norway. It is estimated that the highest number of Sri Lankan community in the region resides in Norway.
The successful conclusion of this initiative was made possible through the invaluable support of the Sri Lanka Association of Norway, whose coordination played a key role in ensuring the smooth organisation and efficient delivery of consular services.
This mobile programme underscores the Embassy’s renewed commitment to strengthening the engagement with the Sri Lankan community across the region through meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and accessible services.
