
Ambassador-Designate of Sri Lanka to Lebanon and Syria, Anura Withanage, paid a courtesy call on the President of the Beirut Chamber of Commerce at his office in Beirut today.
The meeting was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere and focused on exploring new opportunities to strengthen trade and commercial relations between Sri Lanka and Lebanon.
The President expressed strong interest in promoting Sri Lankan products among the Chamber’s members and working closely with the Embassy to support future export and import initiatives. It was also agreed to explore the possibility of hosting a Sri Lankan tea tasting and spice exhibition at the Chamber premises, providing a valuable platform to showcase Sri Lanka’s renowned products.
The discussions also focused on initiating to establish a Memorandum of Understanding between the Chambers of both countries, as a step towards enhancing long-term institutional collaboration and business partnerships.
