The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Toronto successfully conducted its first Consular Mobile Service for the year 2026 on 10 January 2026 in Scarborough, Toronto, with the primary objective of facilitating the attestation of Life Certificates for Sri Lankan pensioners residing in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
This annual initiative has been consistently undertaken by the Consulate General to ease the administrative burden on pensioners who would otherwise be required to travel to the Consulate premises in downtown Toronto to complete essential documentation. Approximately 490 members of the Sri Lankan community benefited from the consular services provided during the programme.
The second and third Consular Mobile Services for the year 2026 are scheduled to be held on Saturday, 14 February 2026 and Saturday, 14 March 2026 at No 10 Netwyn Place, Scarborough.
