A two-member delegation from Hayleys Aventura, supported and facilitated by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Jakarta, participated in the International Battery Summit 2025, organized by the National Battery Research Institute of Indonesia from 5 to 6 August 2025.
During their visit to Indonesia from 2 to 7 August 2025, the Embassy arranged and facilitated several B2B meetings, including engagements with the State General Mining Company (Antam) and PT Mineral Industry Indonesia (MIND ID), to explore investment, trading opportunities, and potential partnerships in the mining and mineral sectors.
The Chargé d’Affaires (a.i.) Nilanthi K. Pelawaththage, participated in a panel discussion on ‘Energy Diplomacy of South-South Cooperation Towards Energy Transition’, alongside Heads of Mission and representatives from Mozambique, Argentina, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. The session was held as part of the Battery Summit on 6 August 2025.
The Battery Summit and the associated meetings with government and private sector entities provided valuable opportunities to explore new avenues for collaboration between Sri Lanka and Indonesia in the fields of mining and mineral sectors.
