Sri Lankan Children Promote Cultural Awareness at 16th Annual Childhood Festival in Amman

The 16th Annual Childhood Festival, hosted at the Zaha Cultural Center in Amman under the esteemed patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Aya Faisal, featured the participation of Sri Lankan children. Facilitated by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Jordan, their engagement aimed to advance intercultural understanding between Sri Lanka and Jordan.

For the first time, Sri Lanka participated in the festival as a group of Sri Lankan children residing in Jordan showcased Lee Keli Natuma, the traditional stick dance.

Their performance infused the event with vibrant energy, showcased Sri Lanka's rich cultural heritage and commitment to cross-cultural exchange, and fostered deeper community engagement.

The festival featured a vibrant mix of entertainment, competitions, folkloric performances, and exhibitions, creating a dynamic atmosphere that united community institutions, children, and families in celebration.

All participating institutions, including the Embassy of Sri Lanka, were acknowledged by the Zaha Cultural Center for their dedicated support in contributing to the success of the event and for their role in celebrating the rich diversity of cultures.
