Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ameer Ajwad officially inaugurated the Sri Lankan booth by the Serendib Travels, at the Saudi Travel Market 2025 held in Riyadh from 10 to 12 February 2025 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The Saudi Travel Market is one of the largest travel exhibitions in the Middle East region that stands as a testament to innovation, collaboration, and global connectivity. It serves as a B2B networking hub for industry leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts to develop collaborations and partnerships within the industry. It is also a premier platform for the exhibitors to explore, network and unlock the kingdom’s vast potential. This year’s event was the 2nd edition of the Saudi Travel Market, and more than 135 exhibitors from 20 countries took part in it.
Serendib Travel Holidays, one of the pioneer destination management companies in Sri Lanka and a leading tour operator for inbound customized tour packages to Sri Lanka represented the country at the exhibition.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Ambassador Ameer Ajwad emphasized the importance of participation of other Sri Lankan tour operators in such high-profile events in Saudi Arabia with a view to forging collaborations and partnerships to promote the tourism industry of the country. He also expressed the Embassy’s willingness to facilitate such participation from Sri Lanka in the future.
