The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism is pleased to announce that it has received the Bronze Award at the Best Annual Report and Accounts (BARA) 2025 Awards Ceremony organized by the Association of Public Finance Accountants of Sri Lanka (Public Sector Wing of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka).
The ceremony was held on 5 February 2026 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), under the patronage of Chief Guest Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Nishantha Jayaweera and Guest of Honor Secretary of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, Aloka Bandara, and distinguished representatives from the public sector and professional accounting bodies.
The award was presented by President of CA Sri Lanka, Tishan Subasinghe, together with President of the Association of Public Finance Accountants of Sri Lanka (APFA), V. Kanagasabapathy. On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Chief Finance Officer, S.H Fernando, Chief Accountant M.G.M.P Gunathilaka and Deputy Director N.H.A Galappaththi received the award.
This recognition reflects the Ministry’s steadfast commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence in public financial reporting. The award underscores the Ministry’s adherence to high standards of governance and sound public financial management practices.
The Ministry reiterates its continued dedication to strengthening institutional integrity, enhancing financial disclosure practices, and upholding public trust in discharging its national responsibilities.
