The Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Thailand took part in the 58th Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar, held at Siam Paragon, Bangkok. The event was officially inaugurated by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on 27 February 2025, bringing together diplomatic missions in Thailand to support charitable causes.
The Sri Lanka stall at the event captivated visitors with its vibrant display of Ceylon tea, aromatic spices, and exquisite batik products, offering a glimpse into the rich flavors and cultural heritage of Sri Lanka.
The Bazaar, organized by the Thai Red Cross Society, is a celebrated annual event. Proceeds from the event will support humanitarian projects and charitable initiatives led by the Thai Red Cross Society under the royal patronage.
As a gesture of goodwill, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand, Wijayanthi Edirisinghe presented a gift of premium Ceylon tea to Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at the event.
