The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Ankara participated in the “6th International Culture Day” at OSTIM Technical University and the “International Friendship Day” at Hacettepe University on 07 May and 14 May 2025 respectively.
These lively festivals, hosted by the two universities attracted a diverse audience, including Embassy representatives, academics and over 1000 students.
The Sri Lankan stalls at the two festivals provided a vibrant hub of cultural heritage, featuring various traditional Sri Lankan items that offered festival-goers a unique glimpse into the opportunities to experience Sri Lanka's rich cultural traditions.
Those festivities also provided a good opportunity to share information about Sri Lanka, while the attendees could experience the Sri Lankan hospitality, taste Ceylon tea as well as to dress in traditional Sri Lankan attire.
Each festival, having had participation from 25 countries including Sri Lanka, provided an excellent platform to introduce Sri Lanka’s culture to a diverse audience.
