Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Poland Priyangika Darmasena met with Dr. Zoriana Czajkowska, Director and Mr. Jakub Piątkowski, Expert, of the International Projects Department of the Industrial Development Agency (ARP) on 19.11.2025 at the Embassy premises, to explore avenues for strengthening trade and investment between the two countries.
The Industrial Development Agency, primarily under the Ministry of State Assets, is responsible among other areas, in assisting their industrial members, who are in sectors including energy, railways, textiles, to enter foreign markets through trading and investment initiatives.
During the meeting Ambassador Dharmasena highlighted the investment potential sectors in Sri Lanka, including in energy, textile, agriculture, food processing, IT and tourism and hospitality, economic zones as well as the Port City, that Poland can explore for investment opportunities for mutual benefit. She also explained the potential for expanding bilateral trade between the two countries with new and diversified products.
During the discussions, Ambassador Dharmasena also briefed and highlighted the upcoming “Sri Lanka EXPO 2026” in Sri Lanka, which will showcase the country’s diverse products as well as its services and strongly encouraged the participation of ARP and its member companies enabling them to grasp the vast business and investment opportunities in the country, which can lead to fruitful lasting collaborations.
Both sides expressed optimism about expanding economic activities, including organizing trade delegations, investment webinars, and other initiatives to foster stronger business links between Sri Lanka and Poland.
