The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the United Arab Emirates Professor Arusha Cooray presented Credentials to the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on 10 July 2025 at a ceremony held at the Qasr Al Watan, the President’s palace in Abu Dhabi. Five other newly appointed Ambassadors from the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Ecuador, Slovak Republic, Republic of Kazakhstan, and Republic of Honduras also presented their Credentials during the ceremony.
Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Courts, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also attended the ceremony.
Welcoming the New Ambassadors, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the commitment of the United Arab Emirates to provide full support from the Government and relevant UAE Authorities to help the Ambassadors carry out their duties with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations with their respective countries.
