The Ambassador of Sri Lanka in France, Manisha Gunasekera, paid a farewell call on the Secretary General of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Martin Briens, on Monday 23 February 2026 at the Ministry in Paris. The meeting entailed a discussion on issues of mutual interest in France-Sri Lanka bilateral relations, including the recent productive bilateral meeting held between President Emmanuel Macron and President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in New Delhi.
The Ambassador expressed her deep appreciation to the Secretary General for the support extended to her and her staff at the Embassy by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs during her tenure. She conveyed her special gratitude in this regard to the Director, Asia and Oceania and his team in the South Asia Directorate, for the close collaboration and cooperation maintained with the Embassy.
