Ambassador-designate of Sri Lanka to the Sultanate of Oman W.A.K.S. De Alwis called Oman Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi at the Foreign Ministry of Oman and presented a copy of the Credentials.
The Oman Foreign Minister had a friendly conversation with Ambassador-designate and conveyed the desire of Oman to elevate the long-standing bilateral ties by particularly enhancing trade and economic co-operation as well as tourism. He also conveyed the interest to obtain more skilled labour from Sri Lanka.
Ambassador-designate conveyed the cordial greetings of Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath and reiterated the invitation to the Oman Foreign Minister to visit Sri Lanka.
