The High Commission of Sri Lanka in collaboration with Sri Lankan medical professionals in Maldives organized a free medical camp for the Sri Lankan expatriate community on 15 November 2025 to commemorate the World Diabetes Day and 40th anniversary of the establishment of Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE).
Large number of Sri Lankan expatriates living in Maldives obtained free eye checkups, diabetes and blood pressure checkups, and medical consultations during the day long medical camp which was held at the High Commission premises.
With the voluntary contribution of medical professional living in Maldives, High Commission intends to conduct free medical health camps on a regular basis for the benefit of Sri Lankan community.
