The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Maldives in partnership with the Export Development Board of Sri Lanka facilitated the participation of 13 Sri Lankan small and medium sized companies at the Hotel Asia Exhibition & International Culinary Challenge Maldives 2025 held from 20 to 22 October 2025 at the Huhlumale Synthetic Track in Maldives.
The inauguration of the exhibition was graced by the presence of Minister of Tourism and Environment, Thoriq Ibrahim as the Chief Guest on 22 November 2025. Subsequently, the Sri Lanka pavilion was declared open by High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Maldives, Rizvi Hassen.
The Sri Lankan companies, Nature’s Beauty Creations Ltd, Taprobane Seafoods (Pvt ) Ltd, Jaya Farm, Kadygs Handlooms Exports (Pvt) Ltd, Uruwala Tea Factory (Pvt) Ltd, Nature Harvest Mushroom Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Ojil (Private) Limited, Montlush Living (Private) Limited, Carlton Packaging (Pvt) Ltd, Healing Life International Pvt Ltd, Novel Ceramic Pvt Ltd, Kiyota Coffee Company Pvt Ltd and Super Fins Life Jackets & Dhammi Fashion exhibited a wide array of high-quality products under the Sri Lanka Pavilion ranging from food and beverages, seafood, meat products, packaging materials, marine safety equipment, customized ceramic products as well as giftware and lifestyle products. Including the above SMEs, altogether 49 Sri Lankan companies were present at the exhibition showcasing wide range of products.
The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Maldives and the Export Development Board of Sri Lanka coordinated B2B meetings for the SMEs with potential business partners. The pavilion was visited by Maldivian government and private sector companies as well as industry association heads throughout the three days to explore potential business collaborations with participating Sri Lankan companies. The High Commission also coordinated meetings with Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Ministry of Tourism and Environment, Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Welfare and Maldives Ports Limited for the Sri Lanka-Maldives Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce which was also attended by representatives of the above SMEs.
Hotel Asia Exhibition & International Culinary Challenge Maldives 2025 held for the 19th time in Maldives stands as one of the biggest exhibitions in Maldives which provides opportunity for stakeholders in the hotel, resort, restaurant, food & service industries to exhibit their products.
