Sri Lanka’s National Chamber of Commerce and Kuwait Chamber of Commerce sign a Memorandum of Understanding

The National Chamber of Commerce (NCCSL) of Sri Lanka and the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) recently, with the objective of promoting trade, technical and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Following the signing of the MOU, the KCCI invited the NCCSL to send a business delegation to Kuwait in order to further the bilateral trade relations, which the NCCSL accepted. The intended visit of the business delegation will help explore business opportunities available in both countries.

The signing of this MOU is one of the outcomes of the discussions during the 2nd Session of the Sri Lanka-Kuwait Joint Ministerial Committee on Trade and Technical Cooperation held in October 2018 in Kuwait and also the follow up meeting the Embassy had with the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce in December 2019.

President of the NCCSL Asela De Livera and Chairman of the KCCI Ali Mohammed Thunayan Al-Ghanim signed the MOU, on behalf of their chambers.
