Hon. Minister A.H.M. Fowzie and H.E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Kabul meet the newly elected President of Afghanistan
Senior Minister for Urban Affairs, Hon. A.H. M. Fowzie represented President Mahida Rajapaksa at the swearing in ceremony of the newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Dr Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai in Kabul on 29th September 2014. Following the Inauguration ceremony, Senior Minister Fowzie paid a courtesy call on President Ashraf Ghani and handed over the congratulatory message from President Rajapaksa, and held a cordial discussion with the Afghan leader. Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Shah Nawaz Marikar Bawa was also present at the meeting.
