Appreciation of Migrant Workers for their performance for Sinhala and Tamil New Year and Poson  Bhakthi Gee singing  competitions

As a part of the Public Diplomacy and Embassy Outreach Community welfare program, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Lebanon Shani Calyaneratne Karunaratne, Counsellor (E & W) Srimal Kahathuduwa, Second Secretary (Labour) T.Luxmidharan and staff of the Embassy hosted   the certificate awarding ceremony of 2021 which was held on Sunday 18 July 2021, to felicitate the winners of   Sinhala and Tamil New Year competitions and Poson Bhakthi Gee singing competitions both of which were held online.

The competitions were organized by the founder & President of the Rathnadeepa International Migrants Board Kusum Kodikara.

Tharindu Asan Randika Abrew, Samadhi Sandeepani Madhurasinghe, Thilini Randeema Perera, K.M.Kanchana Kulathunga, R.B.Mallika Ranabahu, and W.M.Fernando, are the winners of New Year online competitions.

In the Poson Bhakthi gee segment, 15 participants received certificates and the top winners were W.A.Muthumenika from Bahrain, M.M.Janaki Sakunthala from Lebanon, and Mahinda Bandara Dissanaysa from Sri Lanka, participated.

The program was adorned by singing of Buddhist devotional songs by Janaki Sakunthala and Nilu Gunawardena.
