Minister Mangala Samaraweera concludes successful visit to the United Nations

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Mangala Samaraweera concluded a three day visit to New York to attend the UNDP 50th Anniversary Ministerial meeting held at the UN Headquarters, from the 21st-24th of February.

Secretary of State for Foreign Trade of Belgium visits Sri Lanka

Secretary of State for Foreign Trade of the Kingdom of Belgium Hon. Pieter De Crem made a one day official visit to Sri Lanka on 18th February 2016. This visit at the level of Secretary of State from the Kingdom of Belgium marked a new chapter in Sri Lanka - Belgium relations.

Foreign Minister Samaraweera and Foreign Minister Steinmeier sign joint declaration on cooperation on cultural relations & education

Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera and German Foreign Minister Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier signed a joint declaration of intent regarding cooperation on cultural relations and education policy in Berlin on Wednesday 17 February 2016.

Prime Minister of New Zealand to visit Sri Lanka

Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key will undertake an official visit to Sri Lanka from 24th to 26th February 2016.

Prime Minister John Key will be received at the Presidential Secretariat on 24 February and accorded a guard of honour, will hold bilateral discussions with President Maithripala Sirisena. The Prime Minister will also hold talks with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe during the visit.
